Governance

The Center for Food Integrity (CFI) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to help today’s food system earn consumer trust. CFI provides leadership to foster support for the belief that producing healthy, affordable food using fewer resources through responsible production, processing and distribution is the ethical choice that is right for people, animals and the planet.

The Coalition for Responsible Gene Editing in Agriculture is a program of the Center for Food Integrity. The vision of the Coalition for Responsible Gene Editing in Agriculture is global understanding and support for the responsible use of gene editing technology in agriculture and food. The mission is to cultivate support for the responsible use of gene editing in agriculture through the development and adoption of trust-worthy guidelines, effective stakeholder outreach and engagement, and broad-based involvement and collaboration of those utilizing gene editing and/or its outputs in food and agriculture. Coalition participants share the goal of earning trust in gene editing in agriculture.

Participation in the Coalition is available at several levels:

  • Coalition Funder ($25,000 annual dues)
  • Coalition Supporter ($10,00-24,999 annual dues)
  • Coalition Advisor By Invitation (in-kind contribution)
  • Technical Advisor By Invitation (in-kind contribution)
  • Framework Participant ($1,000 annual fee plus variable verification costs)

The annual membership fee provides information, guides and access to other resources that may assist a member organization in fully implementing and continually improving their programs and systems.
